Those who service Bus and Coach Air Conditioners with R-22 or R-500 must be certified as a section 608 Type II or Universal Technician. A

Technicians that service auto and bus air conditioning systems
using R-12, R-134a and SNAP approved replacement refrigerant
must be trained and certified by an EPA approved section 609
certification program.
