A Brief Course Description
This class will stress the relationship between safety and the
proper documentation of maintenance performed. The
mechanical, interior and exterior inspections for small vehicles
are covered and will include wheelchair lifts, tires and
brakes.
It covers every item included in an inspection, including brakes, tires and electrical system.
Shop work consists of preventive maintenance inspections, including record keeping requirements.
Safety and shop procedures are an important part of this class which is intended for experienced mechanics as well as those new to the trade or not familiar with the preventive maintenance procedures and requirements for small transit vehicles.
